Product management role

Plat.AI: taking a loan origination system from concept to launch

Business context

Plat.AI’s loan origination system (LOS) is a proprietary, AI-enabled platform for lenders. I worked on it as a professional product-management role, from April 2023 to May 2025. Finturf is Plat.AI’s sister company.

My role

I directed the end-to-end development and launch of the LOS as its product lead. This was a professional product-management role, not a consulting-client engagement.

What the role covered

From my description of the role, with the reported outcome beside each item that has one:

  • Directing the end-to-end development and launch of the LOS, aimed at faster and more accurate loan decisioning.
  • Spearheading the rollout of home improvement lending operations for three new lenders, defining the end-to-end processes from ideation to execution.
  • Integrating third-party identity, income, and property verification services into the platform to automate KYC/AML compliance and credit checks and cut manual review work. Reported outcome: a 45% improvement in platform usability.
  • Leading a user-centric UI/UX overhaul, running iterative usability tests with underwriting teams to refine workflows and interfaces. Reported outcome: a 38% reduction in training time, with better task efficiency.
  • Partnering with sister company Finturf to co-develop a scalable Lending-as-a-Service (LaaS) platform for home improvement financing, using reusable APIs to speed go-to-market and enable rapid deployment of small-business lending products.
  • Analyzing the fintech and small-business lending landscape to find market opportunities and refine product strategy, guiding a targeted roadmap. Reported outcome: a 25% increase in feature adoption.
