Consulting engagement

Synectica: one managed CRM workflow for financing applications

Business context

Synectica is a USA-based consulting company that works on investment projects and operates in the USA, Central Europe, and Armenia. Its team works on financing applications.

Before the engagement, that work was spread across chat channels and email, and relied heavily on managers to keep it moving.

My role

I carried out the analysis, designed and implemented the new workflow, built the CRM set-up, and trained the staff, as a one-month consulting engagement.

What the engagement covered

The scope, as confirmed:

  • Analyzing the current operational model.
  • Identifying procedural bottlenecks.
  • Outlining and implementing a tailored workflow model.
  • Building a CRM workflow so the team can collaborate on multiple financing cases and handle one-to-many application processes.
  • Implementing reporting tools in the CRM template.
  • Preparing an operational manual on using the CRM template to onboard and process new and existing financing applications.
  • Planning and running a dedicated training session for the staff.

Reported throughput estimate

68%indicative estimate

Garry’s indicative estimate is that the new workflow increased financing application throughput by 68%. The figure is drawn from informal data rather than a formal before-and-after measurement, and throughput is not defined here.

Published

  • That this was a one-month consulting engagement, and its full scope.
  • That the financing application workflow, previously spread across chat channels and email and dependent on managers, now runs in one managed CRM environment.
  • An indicative estimate of a 68% increase in application throughput, labelled as drawn from informal data, not a formal measurement.

Not published

  • Synectica’s financing clients and financing sources.
  • The internal operational model and the design of the workflow.
  • Members of the team.
  • How throughput was defined or measured, the baseline, and the comparison period. The 68% is an estimate from informal data, not a formal before-and-after measurement.
